I forgot what actually inspired me to draw Cyclops (from the X-Men) as a samurai. I just remember one day sketching it out on a piece of notebook paper in class one day, then I realized that it came out pretty well and I thought, crap, what do I do, since I can't scan it on this paper. Well, I ended up just redrawing it on drawing paper and changing a few details. Honestly, I think that this is pretty cool, but I never figured out what to do with his lower legs. *sigh*
a couple of points:
1) The symbol on the arm and thigh guards is supposed to be a stylized eye.
2) The face that you see is a mask. Notice in side the open "mouth" there's another mouth. That's Cyclops' real mouth. I figured that the crystal or whatever that is the eye of the mask would accomplish the same thing as normal Cyclops' visor (regulate his eye beams). |
